The tree was given the epithet 'Vegeta' by Loudon, a name previously accorded the Chichester Elm by Donn, as Loudon Hybrid parentage: U. glabra × U. minor. Elm Street Gardens is a two-acre organic vegetable garden located behind a historic home in downtonw Sparta, Georgia.
